Georgie Swift and Milenka Osen created TMOD after completing their Design studies together at The College Of Fine arts (COFA, UNSW) in 2007. TMOD is a driven by a desire to design without constraints, merging boundaries and challenging the expectations of functionality and purpose.
TMOD specialises in experiential multidisciplinary design, using a combination of materials and processes. This amalgamation of the fields of design, including jewellery, object and graphics, has a focus on interaction. TMOD’s stationary and jewellery designs create a playful sense of experience, with elements of the unexpected.
TMOD, with their inventive ‘Oh Fiddlesticks’, ‘Smoke & Mirrors’, ‘Poetry In Braille’ and ‘Long Lost Secrets’ jewellery collections, explores beyond the static form of conventional jewellery. TMOD create pieces that communicate beyond the visual, producing unique sensory tactile objects for the wearer/user.
