Rannie Balias created CHRISRANN jewelry as a tribute to the many loves of her life. Her Sparta meets art deco aesthetic reflects the influence of the designer's Greek heritage combined with her work in print design and as creative director of JPG magazine. Rannie's intense devotion to art and music also informs the pieces, which are at once diminutive and bold, minimal and intricate, strong and effortless, innovative and enduring—much like the women who love and wear the jewellery. In one more bit of alchemy, CHRISRANN is a combination of the designer's and her sister's names.
Since Rannie launched the line in San Francisco, CHRISRANN has caught the attention of musicians, artists, designers and tastemakers around the world. Natasha Kahn of Bat For Lashes is a fan, as are the editors at N.E.E.T Magazine and Japan's exclusive boutique me+buki. Rannie, who is now based in Texas, is thrilled to introduce CHRISRANN to Australia.
